Algonquin Film Festival

The second Algonquin Film Festival  will be held January 29 through February 1, 2004, in New Hope, PA and Bensalem, PA.

Grand Dames of film Celeste Holm, Patricia Neal and Elizabeth Wilson attended the Algonquin Film Fest on 2/1/04.

The Algonquin Film Festival  promotes  independent film, with an emphasis on work from the "genius belt" between New York and Philadelphia. We also welcome entries from other parts of the country and world. This annual independent film festival offers daily workshops and panel discussions designed to help independent filmmakers and inform cinephiles, and receptions every day.   

All events except the Family Film Day will be held at the Eagle Fire Hall Ballroom, 46 North Sugan Rd., New Hope, PA

Family film day events will be at the Bucks County Convention and Visitors Bureau  3207 Street  Rd Bensalem, PA

  • Trailer Slam! Bring your trailer  (2 minutes or less, VHS only, cued up & ready to go.)  Free with day pass.  Scheduled for Thursday and Friday, January 29 and 30, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  All trailers will be screened at the discretion of the Algonquin Independent Film Festival.  Sign up at the door.

  • Acting for the Camera! with Mike Lemon on Thursday Jan 29, 2004 at 11:00 AM.  Actors!  Mike will hear your monologues.  Please sign up at the door.

  • Pitch Fest!  Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, 1:00 PM Pitch your idea to Casting Agent Kathy Wickline, Producer Tammy Tiehel-Stedman, Director Steve Rash, Acquisitions Expert, Eugene Haynes and Screenwriter Mark Rosenthal.  Sign up at the door.

  • Producing War Stories! with Christopher Durang on Sunday - February 1, 2004.

  • On Sunday, February 1 at the Bucks County Convention and Visitors Bureau in Bensalem PA from Noon till 5:00PM.   We will be hosting kids' movies, magicians and music at our Family Film Day at The Bucks County Convention and Visitors Bureau, Bensalem, Pa.
